The first paper Mache creature I ever made was a gargoyle inspired by a trip I'd taken to Paris in Junior High School. I was fascinated by the large variety of gargoyles hanging out on the Notre Dame Cathedral.
By the mid 90's I had developed a whole line of fiberglass gargoyles which appeared to have been created by different artisans. Each style was unique. I first premiered them in Chicago at the Trans World Halloween and Party Trade Show. They were a big hit. So big in fact by the next year several other company's had made their own. They say imitation is the highest form of flattery but when there are more slices in a pie, more people eat but eat less. Still, I have shipped them all over the United States.
